SpecBeacon source policy

Last updated: March 30, 2026

SpecBeacon uses a restricted source policy for public game pages. The goal is to keep benchmark rows and game metadata useful without relying on unapproved scraping or copied editorial content.

  • Official system requirements and official publisher or store pages are the default source layer.
  • Game images are sourced from approved metadata providers or official game pages when available.
  • Source signals may be reduced or removed if a source no longer fits the current commercial-use policy.
  • Pages are written as original summaries and guidance, not as copies of store copy or review text.
  • Benchmark coverage may be intentionally conservative when only limited approved source data is available.
